HARD LESSON

You know the saying, “I may forget what you said or what you did, but I’ll  never forget how you made me feel?”  Well, for me, it goes more like … “I won’t forget what you’ve said, what you’ve done, or how it made me feel.”

When someone shares what they want, need, hope or pray for; well, I remember. I also watch to see if your actions line up with your words, your promises, your beliefs.

So, what I’ve had to learn to do over the years is meet actions where they’re at instead of meeting dissipating words or promises … I want someone’s actions to speak so loud that I can’t hear a word they are saying.

I have learned over the years that someone being kind does not mean yes and someone asking lots of questions does not mean they will do anything at all upon receipt of answers.

The big question though would be … would you press on.  If everyone turned away and you had to start over from scratch, would you?

My person response is YES! In a world full of fear, entitlement, complacency and skepticism, the only thing that keeps my eyes forward and heart full of resolve is my purpose. No “no” is bigger or more important than my purpose for doing anything in this lifetime.  So time no longer gets wasted on the time wasters, doubters and naysayers.

I love my job, my family, my friends and above all, my purpose.  Everything I “DO” is in line with my purpose.  I live in service of my vision and help others live out theirs.
