Los Angeles is the biggest filmmaking hub in the entire world – it’s always busy in LA, and if you’re a serious actor, you’ll need to be aware of all the major players in your local industry. Here’s a list of some of the best Casting Directors in LA.
What does a Casting Director do?
A Casting Director’s job is to connect actors, with projects. They create briefs from projects and try to find the best-suited actor for the role. This could be anything from the lead role in a Marvel feature film, to a bit-player in a long-running soap television series. Safe to say, Casting directors are important people – so it’s important you always put your best foot forward at every audition!

It would be remiss of us to not begin this list with Carmen Cuba. Carmen is arguably the hottest casting director in LA at the moment. What is your advice for someone who is skiddish of going on auditions since he was in a popular show a few years ago. I guess I have a hard time figuring out why someone with his talent for acting and the fact that he isn’t hard to look at, hasn’t been in more shows/movies
